Our story

Crecer started in 2014 in a living room in Jackson Heights, when Rosa Delgado, a preschool teacher for fifteen years, began teaching the health and safety courses in Spanish to neighbors who wanted to open a home daycare. Today we support teachers, caregivers and directors across the city: from a first credential to opening a center.

Mission

To train and support the people and programs caring for children from birth to five, with certified training and practical consulting, in Spanish and English.

Vision

That every child in the Hispanic community grows up with adults who are prepared, recognized and well supported.

Values

  • Step by step

Clear goals, one at a time.

  • Respect

We speak to professionals, not beginners.

  • Rigor

Content kept current with regulations and research.

  • Closeness

We reply fast, in your language.

Why bilingual

Most people caring for Hispanic children in New York think, explain and comfort in Spanish. Regulations, exams and inspections are in English. We teach in your language and prepare you for the other one.
